Entry RequirementsDuration and Delivery

The learner must:

• Be aged 19 or over
• Have a satisfactory level of Literacy and Numeracy skills
• Not have a criminal background which prevents you from becoming a teacher

Practical Requirement

For the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, you must participate in one hour of micro-teaching session. This requirement can be fulfilled in one of three ways:

• This hour will include at least a 15-minute teaching session that you lead, the remaining 45 minutes may be used for observing fellow learners conduct their micro-teaching sessions.
• One-hour teaching session to learners or peers, which must be recorded and submitted for assessment.
• Conduct a one-hour teaching session in a workplace or professional setting, observed by a mentor, supervisor, or assessor.

This course is designed to be completed online at the pace that suits you. We provide access to learning portal. Our Fast Track course can take as little as 5 days or up to 4 weeks, depending on your previous experience and your dedication to the course. It is delivered through our Virtual Learning Environment. Assessment and Verification

All units are internally assessed by our qualified assessors and externally verified by the awarding organisation. Throughout your course, you will be assessed through a variety of methods to help you complete the course as quickly and easily as possible. The assessment takes the form of 3 written assignments and the delivery of a micro teaching session, detailed guidance for which will be provided by the tutor once you’re enrolled.

Progression

Successful completion of this 100% accredited course enables learners to proceed to the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, or directly into the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training. This course will also prepare you to teach in the lifelong learning sector (PTLLS) to enhance your teaching profile.

In the UK teaching career offers a salary range of £30,592 to £48,515 per year while as a trainer the pay ranges from £25,500 to £42,502 annually, or £30,750 - £62,400 yearly as a train a trainer depending upon the experience, location and area of expertise.
